Whale of a Tale: STORY TIME with Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium
Ages 2 – 5, with parent or guardian in attendance
Friday, February 8, 11am-12pm
Celebrate the annual migration of the Pacific gray whale! Children can let their imaginations swim wild by diving into this fun and interactive exploration of the aquatic world, without getting wet! Using puppets, costumes, and engaging stories about marine life, our Storyteller will lead the young audience in an exciting undersea adventure! A marine-themed craft activity will round out the morning.
Participants receive $1 off admission at the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium by bringing their Whale of a Tale craft to the Aquarium. Whale of a Tale at the Beach House is free, reservations requested.

Annenberg Community Beach House
The Annenberg Community Beach House is open to all - no membership required. Operated by the City of Santa Monica, many of the site's amenities are free and open to the public year-round, including beach volleyball courts and soccer fields, courtyard and view deck with umbrellas for shade, WiFi, splash pad, playground, and beach access. And Back on the Beach Café is right next door!
Free year-round cultural offerings include a gallery, Beach=Culture readings, lectures, and concerts, as well as tours of the Marion Davies Guest House - the original guest house of the Marion Davies Estate. The historic pool is available for public swimming daily during summer (mid June through Labor Day). Admission fees for the pool are $10/adult, $4/youth (1-17) or $5/senior (60+).
The Beach House is also available to rent for private events and as a location for filming.
