Event Details

The historical Oglebay Resort & Conference Center is the site of the 2012 West Virginia State Bar Annual Meeting. In addition to 1,700 acres of scenic beauty, attractive golf courses and charming cottages, Oglebay features West Virginia’s only accredited zoo, an elegant spa, dozens of recreational activities and a variety of specialty shops. The resort’s Schenk Lake offers pedal boats, fishing and the celebrated Cascading Waters show, which features a 150-foot fountain choreographed to lights and music.

Speakers include attorney G. Nicholas Casey Jr.; attorneys L. David Duffield, Chad S. Lovejoy and Thomas P. Boggs; James R. Silkenat, vice president of the American Bar Assocation; Hans William Voss, president of the State Bar of New Mexico; Mark Bassingthwaighte, risk manager at ALPS Corporation; District Court Judge Joy Flowers Conti of Pennsylvania; Karen Timko of Julian Gray Associates; Dr. Alvin “Woody” Moss of the WVU School of Medicine; and a banquet presentation by Major General Allen E. Tackett.
