Wes Moore Keynote Lecture

Wes Moore, author of The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates, will share insights into his book and discuss their relevance to our daily lives. The lecture will begin at 6:30 PM and include time at the end for Q&A. Co-sponsored by First Year Initiatives, i2a, Arts & Sciences, Latin American and Latino Studies, and Engage.Lead.Serve.
Please note: Your free ticket guarantees you a seat in the venue until 6:20 PM. At that time, any unclaimed seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be seated before 6:20 PM to ensure you have a seat at the lecture. Doors will open at 5:45 PM.
Afternoon of Service with Wes Moore: UofL students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the afternoon of service with Wes Moore, from 2:00-6:15 PM on Wednesday, September 19th, prior to the keynote. If you are interested, visit www.WesMooreSOUL.eventbrite.com for registration and other information. Your keynote ticket does not register you for the afternoon of service.

Do I need to bring my printed ticket to the event? Yes, please print and bring your ticket.
Book and Dare to Care Food Drives: As part of our Book-in-Common service initiative, we are encouraging all guests to take part in the book and food drives coordinated by UofL students. Drop boxes will be placed at entries to the venue. New or gently used books will be donated to West End School and other community agencies, and non-perishable foods will be donated to our local Dare to Care.
Parking: Parking is available for $4 at the Floyd Street Garage, 2126 S. Floyd Street, 40208.
Book sales will take place before and after the event. A limited number of copies signed by author Wes Moore will be on hand for sale. All copies will be in paperback for $15, cash or check.
Cancellations: If you reserve a ticket and then cannot attend, please cancel via Eventbrite or email email@example.com so that we may offer your seat to an individual on our waiting list.
