Understanding the “in’s and out’s” of energy systems and the crucial role they play when designing successful exercise programs is a must. Gain insight about the science of energy systems and the integral role they play in exercise. Participants will understand the function that food plays in energy systems and how it is transformed into an amazing source of energy at the cellular level. An investigation of aerobic and anaerobic energy systems will reveal how they operate during a variety of exercise activities and how they adapt to chronic training. Understand how exercise programs can be modified to train energy systems to ensure results!

About the Presenter
Stephanie Collins has fourteen years of experience working in university recreation and the fitness industry. She has served in a variety of leadership roles in fitness, wellness, intramural sports, and facility management/construction. She has taught academic classes in the field of exercise science/physiology for over five years. Additionally Stephanie stays close to her fitness roots by teaching group fitness classes and personal training private clients. Stephanie has a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois and an MS from Illinois State University. She holds certifications through ACSM, ACE, NSCA, AFAA, & Schwinn.
