Are you moving away from your home market or just ready to retire and don’t want to let your legacy die?  After all that hard work, you deserve to see your business continue on without you.  Learn how Angela Dupont, ABC, CPCE, found a successor for her business, gained vendors’ trust in the transition, and eventually sold her business (which has continued to grow and succeed). 

In this session, we’ll discuss how to determine a sales price/value for your business, using professionals (lawyers, accountants), and develop a plan to make the transition seamless to your vendors and clients.

 

Session deliverables:

  • Know the various ways a business can be valued
  • What types of documents and services that will be needed from paid professionals like lawyers and accountants.
  • How to begin educating vendors and clients as to the transition
  • And everything in between: independent contractors, office space, supplies, intellectual property, contracts, website, and more.

This webinar will be pre-recorded and the instructions that you get will include the recording link. You will get the link 24 hours prior to the scheduled time.It will also include the final instructions for your essay and certificate.

You get 1 hour continuing Education (your receipt is proof) and .5 point with completion of essay and certificate.

 BIO:

Angela has over 14 years experience planning special events of all sizes, ranging from small social affairs to large community festivals with over 200,000 attendees.  Though weddings are her specialty, she has enjoyed working with non-profit organizations coordinating fundraising events and corporate events alike.  

 

She has been an active member of the Association of Bridal Consultants since 2004 and has earned the designations of Accredited Bridal Consultant.  She is the state coordinator for North Texas and Oklahoma.  She is also an active member of the National Association for Catering and Events, D/FW chapter.

 

Though Angela is a native Texan, where she owned and operated a successful wedding and event consulting company, she recently returned to Texas to be with family and to attend SMU to earn her Master of Science in Entrepreneurship in May of 2012.  She successfully sold her business in Madison and transitioned it so that the new owner is thriving.  She is currently working on opening a unique, historic event venue in Fort Worth while also spending her days as the Director of Marketing for the trendy West 7th Shopping District in Fort Worth.
