Webinar: Using the EcoCyc Quantitative Metabolic Flux Model
Friday, June 20, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (PDT)
Menlo Park, CA
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
A steady-state metabolic flux model has been available from EcoCyc for several years. The model predicts the steady-state fluxes through the E. coli metabolic network using flux-balance analysis. The model can be used to predict growth or no growth of E. coli, and the cellular growth rate, under different nutrient conditions, and under different gene knock-outs. This webinar will illustrate how to run the model for different growth conditions and gene knock-outs, and will provide a basic overview of metabolic modeling and of the MetaFlux modeling component of Pathway Tools. MetaFlux can also be used to build metabolic flux models for other BioCyc organisms.
