WEBINAR SERIES: Providing Relevant and Sensitive Services to Transgender Clients

This webinar will discuss the prevalence of intimate partner and sexual violence against transgender individuals, in addition to the dynamics of such abuse and what service providers should consider to ensure relevant, culturally sensitive and trauma-informed services to these survivors. The webinar will highlight some ways in which direct service providers can create a safe, appropriate atmosphere for transgender clients to disclose, and also begin to heal. This webinar will also include some specific systemic dynamics that may affect transgender clients in a negative way, and suggestions on how to navigate these.
