Is there such a thing as a proactive diet to help reduce one's risk of breast cancer? Many experts believe diet and lifestyle choices may diminish breast cancer risk. Learn about this aspect of prevention/ risk reduction.

Mindy Haar graduated cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in psychology.  She earned her Master of Science degree in nutrition education from Teacher's College, Columbia University and a Ph.D. in health sciences from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  She is a registered dietitian, a New York State-certified Dietitian/Nutritionist, a New York State-certified early interventionist, an American Council on Exercise-certified personal trainer and an American Red Cross-certified instructor in swimming, lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid.  For more than 30 years, Dr. Haar has worked in a multitude of in-patient and out-patient settings as a clinical dietitian as well as in her own private practice.  She is presently Director of Program Development, Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences at the New York Institute of Technology where she oversees the undergraduate health sciences program and graduate clinical nutrition program.  Her research focus is on factors affecting perception of community and interactivity in health science coursework as well as life cycle nutrition issues.

Course Completion Requirements and Awarding Certificate

After listening to the webinar presentation, complete the course test online. With a score of 75% or better and completing the evaluation, you may immediately print your CE certificate of completion or save a pdf of it for your records. You may also request a copy to be sent to you by mail. If your score is less than the passing score of 75%, you may retake the test. In the event of loss, there is no charge for a replacement copy of a CE certificate.

How to Register/Attend:
  1. Complete the Webinar Pre-Registration Form above.
