Millennials/Gen Y are already the biggest generation, with 80 million people in the US alone, and will account for 75% of the global workforce in a little more than a decade. In less than 5 years, millennials will also have more buying power than baby boomers. Ken Bouyer, EY Americas Director of Inclusiveness Recruiting, will share his perspectives as the leader responsible for developing and implementing the global EY organization’s strategy to recruit a diverse and inclusive talent pool in the Americas. Ken has served in a variety of roles since joining the Assurance practice of Ernst & Young LLP in 1990. Additionally, he is Chair of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ National Commission on Diversity and Inclusion, as well as a Board Member and Chair of the Audit Committee for the American Accounting Association. He is a recipient of the Federation for the Schools of Accountancy's Practitioner Service Award and the National Association of Black Accountants’ Presidential Award. He frequently serves as an EY and industry group spokesperson on both diversity and recruiting trends at a range of events and with leading media outlets.

Dan Schawbel, Author, Promote Yourself, and Managing Partner, Millennial Branding — will deliver a first-of-its-kind keynote and panel about the book. Dan is also the author of the #1 international bestselling book, Me 2.0: 4 Steps to Building Your Future, now in 13 languages. Dan has written for TIME, The Wall Street Journal and Forbes Magazine, and has been featured in over 1,000 media outlets such as “The Today Show” on NBC, “The Nightly Business Report” on PBS and “The Willis Report” on Fox Business. He’s spoken at Google, NBC Universal, McGraw-Hill, Harvard Business School, MIT, Time Warner, IBM, and CitiGroup. Following Dan’s keynote, he will moderate a dynamic panel that will bring key concepts of the book to life by addressing millennials’ impact on the workforce now and in the future; describing how we can all manage the generational mix; highlighting the criteria managers seek when determining promotions; and listing creative ways professionals can enhance their own careers.
Valerie Grillo, Chief Diversity Officer, American Express - representing American Express' proprietary study featured in the book, which explored the workplace expectations of 1,000 employees and 1,000 managers across a variety of companies and industries. As the Chief Diversity Officer, Valerie's responsible for ensuring that American Express remains an employer of choice and enables innovation by creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace for more than 60,000 employees worldwide. In her nine-year tenure, Valerie has held numerous global Human Resources talent and leadership positions across the company. Most recently, she led Global Leadership Development at American Express.
Kathryn Minshew, Founder & CEO, The Muse — representing a Gen Y perspective as one of Forbes’ 2012 30 Under 30. The Muse is a career discovery platform that has helped over 3 million people answer the question, "What do I want to do with my life?" Prior to founding her company, Kathryn worked on vaccine introduction in Rwanda and Malawi with the Clinton Health Access Initiative and previously worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. She’s appeared on Inc. Magazine’s 15 Women to Watch in Tech, as well as CNN, Fast Company, The Today Show, PBS, and Fox & Friends.
Karyn Twaronite, EY Americas Inclusiveness Officer and Partner, Ernst & Young LLP — representing a Gen X perspective. As a member of the EY Americas Operations Sub-Committee and Americas People Executive Council, Karyn works closely with her fellow EY member firm partners and their employees to maximize the diversity of EY professionals so that they feel included and valued. Kendall is responsible for the overall financial management for Johnson & Johnson’s Medical Devices & Diagnostics (MD&D). Kendall has been a lifetime advocate for women and work life integration. She has championed the Financial Leadership Development Program, MentoringWorks and most recently a health care consortium on sponsorship.
