What is the Web Weekend Expo & Conference?
The Web Weekend Expo is a fun, 2-day interactive event focused exclusively on building your footprint online and sharpening digital marketing skills. Learn the basics to getting a website setup and how to promote your business online.
This event is not just a conference for learning, it's also a workshop for doing.
A small business startup weekend to optimize your business on the web.
We set out with a plan to create an event that aimed at helping others learn, grow and inspire. So we crafted the Web Weekend Expo exclusively for individuals who are excited to learn about all the web has to offer and who are ready to supercharge their efforts in the new year!
The conference lineup and every presenter was hand selected by our team to provide attendees with a maximum experience but also promise to not over do the techie talk.

SPECIAL EVENT: Saturday Evening WordPress Theme Building Workshop!
When: January 11, 2014: 7PM - 9PM
Join Scott Winterroth for a special Headway Themes Build-A-Thon and learn how to build amazing WordPress themes with this intuitive framework. This session will cover the basics of how to get started developing with Headway, the languages behind it, and the very basics for how you can get started. This is a very entry-level workshop but it's helpful if you have an understanding of how to use programs like Photoshop and/or even know a little CSS. Not required but recommended.

University Center is located in downtown Chicago at the intersection of State
Street and Congress Parkway.
University Center does not have its own parking. However, there are a number of
parking garages and lots all around the building.
From Midway Airport
Take CTA (subway/"EL") Orange Line to Library/Van Buren stop; walk 1
block south on State Street to Congress Parkway.
Take a taxi, expect to pay around $25-$30 from Midway to University
From O'Hare International Airport
Take CTA (subway/"EL") Blue Line to LaSalle/Congress stop; walk four
blocks east on Congress to State Street

Q: What should I bring?
A: We suggest bringing a laptop so attendees can follow along step-by-step when applicable. Free WiFi available.
Q. How much previous experience do I need?
A: As long as you come with a desire to learn, you will be able to follow along and learn how to build a website and promote it.
Q: Is lunch provided?
A: No, dining options are on your own unless otherwise indicated. There's a Panera Bread, Epic Burger, Panda Express, Wing Stop and 7-11 Located inside of the University Conference Center plus many other options located near by.
Prepaid tickets are not refundable if cancelled within 9 days of the event. We will do our best to find someone who can exchange your ticket if possible.
