A Rootin'-Tootin' Web-Mobile-UX event like no other —
Top Speakers | Killer Prizes | "Western" theme!
What a ROUNDUP!
We've managed to "rustle up" the best speakers this side of the Mississippi for an entire day of technology & knowledge, Western-style. These people are all leaders in the field of UX Design/Technology. Here's our lineup:
Check In and Breakfast
Keynote with Dave Hogue — "UX-Driven Innovation"
When UX drives innovation, the end result is more than technical capability and beautiful interfaces: it is an experience differentiated by helping people surpass their goals and exceeding their expectations while delivering engaging, motivating, enjoyable, and memorable experiences. How can we plan and work toward new products and services while keeping the user in mind? How can we implement UX strategy? And, most importantly, how can we lead the pack rather than chase the competition? Take UX out of the design studio and include it in strategic research and planning to drive innovation for your business.
Doug Winnie — "State of the Slate"
The Wild West of web and app building gets more complex with each day. Between native, browser, cross-platform, hybrid, frameworks and more what was once seemingly simple has become hard to understand, and even more difficult to explain to customers, clients, and our peers. In this session, Doug Winnie will chart a path through the acronyms, and ironic, vowel-challenged product names and give you a clear understanding of what is out there, what you need to build it, and how to get started. So whether you are a Hatfield or a McCoy, developer or UX designer, you’ll come out a freshly deputized expert in the landscape of web and mobile.
Dani Beaumont — "What's New in Adobe Muse"
Muse is hot in the web design world! Adobe Muse's Product Manager is here to share the latest feature updates in Muse, including Creative Cloud Add-Ons, In-Browser Edit Updates, 100% Width Slideshow, and so much more.
Lunch & Costume Contest
TBD — "Chris Griffith is ill"
We will share a previously recorded PhoneGap talk with attendees and the new speaker will be announced soon.
Tom Green, Jim Babbage & Michael Clawson —
"The Integrated Mobile Workflow"
Tom, Jim and Michael will walk us through a mobile workflow that incorporates Adobe Generator, Reflow, Edge Animate, Muse, Photoshop and Illustrator — while showcasing some of the new features in CC 2014.
Chana Messer — "Illustrator for the Web" with Astute Graphics
Chana will show the latest updates for Illustrator CC 2014, including pen tool enhancements, snap to pixel enhancements, and Live Shapes. In addition, Chana's gonna show "Mirror Me" and other cool Illustrator plug-ins from Astute Graphics, all fully support in CC 2014.
Kelly McCathran — "Creating Mock-ups in Photoshop"
Kelly will showcase some of the top new features in Photoshop CC 2014 — "Smarter" Smart Guides for "Pixel Perfect" layouts, Adobe Generator to dynamically create image assets, hundreds of new font choices with Adobe Typekit and Linking or Embedding images in Photoshop. You will also see long time Photoshop features essential for layout: Character & Paragraph Styles, Layer Comps (improved in the 2014 release) and working with Vector Shapes.
