Born on the islands of Trinidad & Tobago then moving to Brooklyn, New York at the age of ten. Jason Haynes is a poet, author, spoken word artist and accomplished musician. After receiving Honorable Mention at the Queen's College Cultural Heritage Competition in 1999, he went on to attend Nyack College for Music Performance, participating in various orchestras and chamber ensembles. His background as a classically trained flutist and proficiency in various genres such as Hiphop & Jazz, coupled with life's trials and adversities soon became the impetus behind his debut work, The Prodigal Son - a book which creatively weaves childhood anecdotes with short stories of tragedy, homelessness, prison & depression providing a powerful narrative of hope and redemption for all. He currently lives among the quiet residences of New Jersey, yet his pulse is still close enough to the heartbeat of New York City.

Keys is native New Yorker, born and raised in Queens. She has been writing poetry since the age of nine and has recently fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a published writer. “Chrysalis: Not Quite The Butterfly” is a poetic autobiography that touches on family issues, adolescent insecurities and societal perspectives, illustrating her journey of maturation from a child to an adult.
