Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 9:00 AM - Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 9:00 AM (PDT)
*Please be sure to sign up here through
Eventbrite to register for the event.
Please join the Shoreline and Coastal Planners Group, state and federal agencies, emergency managers, tribes, ports, and others to discuss the findings of a recent National Academy of Sciences study about sea level rise along the coast of Washington. The purpose of the workshops is to foster discussion about what the findings mean, how they can be used, what communities can do, and what future actions may be needed.
The workshops will showcase tools and case studies to help local planners identify potential vulnerabilities and take steps to reduce risks to communities, infrastructure and development investments, and natural areas from sea level and coastal hazards.
**Registration begins at 8:30 am. Workshop starts promptly at 9:00. Please make time to have breakfast and coffee.
