Walking With Whitney is a baby wellness, parent education, and infant gross motor class. The class is geared for babies 2-5 month old. In this class we will focus on teaching caregivers how to therapeutically play with their infant to promote gross motor skills. Go beyond the checklists and learn about the developmental sequence and how to play with your baby to enhance their natural development. This class will go into detail about simple, everyday activities you can do during playtime, diaper changes, and bath time to promote your baby’s strength, visual-motor skills, and awareness of their environment. We will practice playing with your baby to work on skills such as rolling, tummy time, and sitting. In addition to playtime, we will also explore and discuss proper positioning in equipment such as bouncy seats and swings as well as appropriate toy recommendations for each age group. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new parents, ask questions about development in a supportive environment, and enhance your knowledge of infant development. All caregivers are welcome to attend! Please join us for a class to learn how to better play with your infant!
