Walking Tour: Photographing DUMBO with a Leica Digital Rangefinder at Photoville, NYC!
Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM (EDT)
Join us at Photoville, NYC (http://www.photovillenyc.org/) with Leica Camera:
Follow the path of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa and Elliott Erwitt by experiencing the extension of art, craftsmanship and philosophy of the Leica brand. Today, Leica’s flagship M-System remains the preferred tool of photojournalists and documentary photographers worldwide.
Leica Product Specialist Justin Stailey will lead this hands-on workshop to capture the “decisive moment” throughout the DUMBO area. With a small class size and personalized interaction, participants will be inspired to share images, techniques and insights.
Leica M-System rangefinder cameras will be provided for this workshop. Please bring an SD memory card with you for this program. Space is limited and advanced registration is required.
Leica represents a union of craftsmanship, technology and experience. It is at once an extension of art, knowledge and philosophy, providing a state-of-the-art optical experience in a precision, hand-made photographic instrument. Leica Camera has a simple mission: to provide users with an incomparable experience, an instrument that defines an unsurpassed heritage and sets a standard of excellence for the industry to meet.
Photoville (photovillenyc.org) is a new Brooklyn-based photo destination - a veritable village of freight containers transformed into temporary exhibition spaces, taking place this summer from June 22 to July 1, 2012.
Photoville will feature a feisty mix of exhibitions, lectures, hands-on workshops, nighttime projections, a photo dog run, a camera greenhouse, and a summer beer-garden with food trucks that will create a photography destination like no other.
