Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® provides support for the REACT Program of the Women's Bureau, Inc. REACT serves Allen County and the surrounding area with free clinical counseling for survivors of rape and sexual assault, through educational outreach, and through the Rape Crisis Hotline. If you are interested in volunteering at the Women's Bureau or need services related to rape or sexual assault, please visit our website

Women's Bureau, Inc.

The Women’s Bureau, Inc. received its 501(c)(3) not-for-profit designation in 1976, with a mission to advance women through advocacy, education and economic empowerment. Over its 37 year history, the Bureau has provided services to more than 500,000 persons in northeast Indiana, focusing on the current needs of women and their families. The current agency goals are to implement the outcomes developed at the Strategic Planning session in January; to maintain the  Bureau’s CARF accreditation status, which is set for renewal in June of 2013; to further develop the Board of Directors; to continue to reach more individuals through the Transitions residential treatment program and the REACT rape awareness program; and to successfully implement Dress for Success programming in this community.
