Volunteer at WaterFire's August 9 Full Lighting

Come experience the return of the ever famous Ballroom with music, song, and dance!

Celebrate the 150th birthday of the Providence Police Department featuring a massive Torch Procession and Ring of Fire!

Volunteering is very much at the heart of the WaterFire experience. Not only do volunteers help create the art that people come from far and wide to see, they are also an integral part of the welcoming sense of community that has greeted visitors for years.

Volunteers assist in every aspect of event production, from early morning build all the way through to break down at the end of the night. Extra hands and friendly faces are not just needed during the WaterFire event itself, but throughout the day leading up to the first spark of flame. WaterFire is a complex production that requires many hands at all times. We welcome you to assist behind the scenes during the day, in addition to creating the magic at night. With each lighting, WaterFire brings something slightly different- in experience, in laughter, and in art. We look forward to working with you to revitalize the city of Providence and bring the magic of WaterFire to our visitors and the community. We hope you can join us!
