Description
You would pass this location while traveling on North Capital without noticing it, until now! We will be planting 150 pine trees to create a vegetated buffer behind Archbishop Carroll High School.
Requirements
- All volunteers must sign a completed Volunteer Waiver Form before participating. Please bring a completed waiver to the event to expedite the registration process. Waivers will be available onsite in the event you forget.
- Youth under 18 years of age must have their parent or legal guardian sign a Parental Consent Form and be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Advance registration is required; space is limited. If your plans change prior to the event, please update your registration status so we can secure the necessary number of volunteers.
- Be present for and actively listening to the tool safety demonstration at the start of the event. Registration opens a half hour before the indicated start time.
- Dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Group Registration
If you represent a group (5+ people), complete the Group Volunteer Information Form and we will contact you to discuss potential volunteer opportunities.
Meals
Volunteers are welcomed in the morning with light breakfast fare and treated to a celebratory lunch at the conclusion. Please indicate dietary restrictions during the online registration process. Drinking water is available throughout the event.
Getting There
Public Transportation: The Brookland- CUA Metro stop is about 1.4 miles from our meeting location. The meeting location can be accessed by the H8 Metrobus line.
Parking: Free parking will be available in the Archbishop Carroll High School parking lot.
Bike Parking: Bike parking is available at Archbishop Carroll High School
