Registering for a Volunteer Orientation is the first step to becoming a volunteer with the Atlanta Humane Society - Mansell Campus in Alpharetta. During the first hour, you will learn about the history of Atlanta Humane Society, our mission and the services and programs we offer in the community. We will talk in depth about the volunteer opportunities available, the training and time commitment required as well as the process we use for volunteer scheduling and placement. The 2nd hour will include completion of a questionaire, and we will be conducting a short interview with each prospective volunteer.
The "ticket" price reserves your seat in this Volunteer Orientation. If accepted into the program, an additional $15 will be collected after your probationary hours, and will cover the cost of your t-shirt, apron and animal care supplies.
Cancellations and Transfers requested with seven days or less notice are non-refundable and are considered a donation to the organization.

When & Where
Atlanta Humane Society
The mission of the Atlanta Humane Society is to improve animal welfare in the southeastern United States by providing quality animal services including preventative initiatives, education, advocacy and adoption of animals into permanent loving homes.
The Atlanta Humane Society places approximately 8,000 animals into forever homes each year. AHS is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets. We do not euthanize adoptable animals, and there are no time limits for the animals once they are in our care. We only humanely euthanize those animals suffering from significant medical issues or that pose behavior concerns. We are proud to be a part of the solution to ending pet homelessness and overpopulation in the Southeast United States.
