Registering for a Volunteer Orientation is the first step to becoming a volunteer with the Atlanta Humane Society - Mansell Campus in Alpharetta. Upon arrival, you will complete a questionnaire, so please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to official start.
During the first hour, you will learn about the history of Atlanta Humane Society, our mission as well as the services and programs we offer in the community. We will talk in depth about the volunteer opportunities available, the training and time commitment required as well as the process we use for volunteer scheduling and placement. The 2nd hour we will be conducting a short interview with each prospective volunteer.
The "ticket" price reserves your seat in this Volunteer Orientation. If accepted into the program, an additional $15 will be collected after your probationary hours, and will cover the cost of your t-shirt, apron and animal care supplies.
Cancellations, as well as transfers requested with seven days or less notice are non-refundable and are considered a donation to the organization.
