Event Details

Welcome to Channel One Regional Food Bank's Volunteer Orientation for food shelf volunteers.  Orientation will be held on site at 131 35th Street SE, Rochester, MN, 55904.  Orientation will last approximately one hour.  During this time you will learn about Channel One, what our volunteers do, policies and procedures, and scheduling volunteer hours.

Please remember:

*Volunteers must be at least 10 years of age and those under the age of 16 must volunteer with an adult. 

*Volunteers under the age of the 18 are required to have a parent or guardian attend the orientation session with them.

*The food shelf volunteer hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30am- 6:00pm and Fridays 7:30am- 12:00pm.  There are NOT weekend and evening volunteer opportunities.

Channel One Regional Food Bank

Channel One Regional Food Bank and Food Shelf, a certified member of Feeding America, is a non-profit organization that serves the mission to work in partnership with others to help feed people in need.  Channel One is a proud member of Hunger Solutonis Minnesota, a partner of the United Way of Olmsted County, and a proud founding member of Hunger-Free Minnesota.

Channel One Regional Food Bank serves seniors,  individuals with physical or mental-health disabilities, working families and individuals, people in times of crisis due to job loss, medical problems or personal disaster, and food shelves, programs and agencies in 14 counties.  These counties include Faribault, Waseca, Rice, Goodhue, Wabasha, Steele, Dodge, Olmsted, Freeborn, Mower, Fillmore, Winona, Houston, and La Crosse County in Wisconsin.
