Volunteer: Fair Haven
Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (EDT)
In the only planting outside the District this season, Casey Trees and the Fair Haven Community Association will be adding 17 trees to the local community center. This planting is a part of an ongoing effort to make the underused community center a more attractive place to connect with neighbors and celebrate the neighborhood.
There is plenty of parking in the community center’s large lot. Alternatively, the Huntington Metro Station (Yellow Line) is only two blocks away.
Volunteers are welcomed in the morning with a light breakfast. A celebratory lunch is provided at the conclusion of the event. Casey Trees will supply drinking water throughout the event.
Are you a volunteer group manager? Do you want to register a large group of volunteers for one or more events (5 or more individuals)? Groups cannot sign up all of their registrants on this page, but we are happy to work with you to get volunteers registered at this event or other events this season. Register online now.
