When Jaime started her Journey to lose 120 lbs, she had no idea the impact it would make on her life and the lives of those around her. Inspired by Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings at the 2012 Olympics, Jaime decided to radically change her life and get active and be healthy. Along the way, she has formed many new relationships, learned much about herself, and opened up her life for all to see by a daily blog. The end goal, besides getting healthy and losing weight, was to one day play volleyball again. This event marks one year since Jaime's journey began and she's decided to give back in a big way. Not only will she be playing volleyball, but we will also be raising money for two charities. The first, Good Tidings Foundation, is based in California and sponsored and supported by Kerri Walsh Jennings that is designed to support arts, education, athletics and dreams for youth. The second is a local charity, XXXX, which aims to benefits children locally in getting more active and exploring the possibilities of their bodies and minds.
ALL proceeds from the event will go to charity. The funds will be split equally between the two charities.
