Survivor Writing Workshop

Presented by R Mona Leza

March 7th, 2014

6:00- PM – 7:30 PM

One Crisis Center Plaza

Sykes room

Tampa, FL 33613

How this workshop will benefit and empower survivors:

For many, it is difficult to talk about our experiences. Without speaking a word we can express ourselves and extend our message as a survivor or a thriver. There is power in the written word, and greater power in a word well written. Through creative journaling and writing, survivors can find a path to inner healing. Learn to liberate yourself (and others) through expressive writing with these useful tips and techniques.

Participants will need a spiral notebook or 3-ring binder with lots of blank lined paper and pen/pencil (erasers are good things!), or a laptop computer, if you're the techie type.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Purpose and benefits of creative writing and/or journaling.
  • Learning how to express the inner self – finding just the right words.
  • Goals of creative journaling.
  • Gaining peace and empowerment through writing and journaling.

This workshop is not counseling and should not be considered therapy.
