Do I need to make a reservation or can I just show up?
Tours are limited and advance reservations are required to ensure seats. Reservations are easy to make and will guarantee space for families and friends attending together.
How early should I arrive for my tour?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour reservation to board the shuttle bus to the airfield tour site.
What should I bring with me?
Bring your printed tour ticket to gain entry. Please do not bring coolers, glass or large tote bags with you for this event
Does the bus and timeslot I selected matter?
In order to accommodate everyone who wishes to attend, guests are allowed to board buses at their reserved time slot.
Where is free parking for the event located?
Free parking for Community Day is available at the Gloria Lot located at 7701 Gloria Ave., Van Nuys, CA 91406. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided between the parking lot and the Observation area for all guests.
Are there directions to the parking lot?
From the I-405 N, exit at Sherman Way West; turn right on Woodley Ave.; turn right onto Saticoy St.; make a left on Gloria Ave. The parking lot is on the left side of the street behind the FlyAway parking structure.
From the I-405 S, exit Sherman Way, make a left on Haskell and a right on Sherman Way. Turn right on Woodley and another right on Saticoy St. and left on Gloria Ave. The parking lot is on the left side of the street behind the FlyAway parking structure.
Will food be provided?
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase in the Observation Area by community partners, including the Encino Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Van Nuys Rotary Club.
What should I wear?
August tends to be a very hot month, please dress appropriately for the heat with light clothing, comfortable shoes, use sunscreen and stay hydrated.
How can I cancel my reservation if I am unable to attend?
You can cancel your free registration by logging in to Eventbrite with the email address you used to register. (If you didn't create a password when you registered for the event--don't worry! You can easily create one from the log-in page.) Once you're logged in, click My Tickets at the top of the page, locate the event, click View Order, then press the Cancel Order button. You will receive an email confirmation of the cancellation.
