Join the Veterinary Medical Association of Bexar County for a fun filled, family style evening on June 23, 2012. Bring your family, friends and staff for a family friendly Wild West Show and real Texas style BBQ at Tommy Worrell's Diamond W Longhorn Ranch (minutes north of San Antonio).
We will be holding our annual silent auction to benefit the VMABC's Charitable Trust Fund. This fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps support public education, local veterinary student scholarships and other animal issues that the veterinary community might wish to support.
The event will kick off around the "watering hole" with a greeting from the new TVMA President Orlando Garza, DVM, a reception to honor the past presidents of the VMABC, a meet and greet with some of the new Aggie veterinary graduates moving to San Antonio, and a special presentation to Dr. Irven "Buddy" Cooper (Col. Ret) to honor his outstanding support of VMABC and especially the local Veterinary Scout Program.
The reception starts at 6pm followed by dinner at 6:30 served down by the creek. Our new officers for 2012-13 will be installed and the Wild West Show will be performed by Tommy Worrell's cast of cowboys with rope and gun tricks, western outlaws and his trick longhorn steer, Sundance, along with old time country music. The auction will start and 6:30 and run until 8:30
Dress is casual. Admission gets you free parking, Chuckwagon Supper, Wild West Show, country music, fellowship with collegues PLUS 1 hour of CE credit (all the more reason to meet around the tables for discussions).
Grab your hat and boots and meet us there!!!
