Event Details

Saturday, October 26 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30 from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., and Saturday, November 2 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Those with some garment-sewing experience are invited to time travel with Marilyn Leage to the 1930's! While making this perfect fall capelet, students will learn fitting techniques as well as Marilyn's tips for precise garment cutting and sewing. Learn how to construct a shell, apply the capelet, and secure buttons and button holes for closure.

Bring your own machine or sign up early to reserve one of four shop machines.

In addition to the series fee, participants will need to purchase/provide the capelet pattern, up to 3 yards of fabric, 5/8 yards of interfacing, coordinating thread, two to four 7/8" buttons, and hooks and eyes. All supplies are available at Sew Memphis at a 10% class discount.
