Join us for the west coast premiere of sculptor and marine conservationist Victor Douieb’s shark sculpture exhibit on Friday, May 6th and Saturday May 7th, from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm at our Santa Monica Pier Aquarium.
Victor's special guest for the event is the internationally-recognized, diving legend Cristina Zenato, who will give a detailed shark conservation presentation to guests. Cristina is the head of diving at the Bahama's Underwater Explorers Society (UNEXSO) and has been featured in dozens of films, TV shows and magazines, and has won numerous awards for her life's work protecting shark species throughout the world.
The Parisian native will be displaying ten of his sculptures, some of which are cast in gleaming stainless steel and others in bronze with a rich and colorful patina at this exhibition. Known for his dedication to marine environmental concerns, all door proceeds from Victor's exhibition and a portion of sculpture sales will benefit Heal the Bay.
$25 minimum donation at the door includes exclusive after-hours access to the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium and wine and hors d'oeuvres.
