|Dr. Lowell Ackerman
DVM, DACVD, MBA, MPA
|Dr. Lowell Ackerman is a board-certified veterinary specialist, an award winning author, an international lecturer, and a consultant in veterinary practice management. He is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College (Canada) and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. In addition to his veterinary training, he also holds an MPA from Harvard University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a Certificate in Veterinary Practice Administration from Purdue University. Dr. Ackerman splits his time between clinical dermatology specialty practice, and management consulting. He is a Clinical Professor at the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and the Dermatology Course Director, overseeing all student instruction in this discipline.
In addition to veterinary specialty practice, Dr. Ackerman is a management consultant with Bizvet, Inc., dealing with all aspects of practice management and administration, from private practices, to specialty hospitals and nonprofit organizations. He also teaches business skills and practice management at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.
As you can see, Dr. Ackerman is quite talented and happens to be a very entertaining speaker. You will not want to miss this opportunity to hear Dr. Ackerman speak!

It might seem natural to assume that clients don’t follow veterinary recommendations because of the costs involved, but this is actually only a very small part of the psychology of client interactions.
