The "Empowering Women and Girls through Sports" featuring Michelle Kwan will now take place in the University Center Audiorium - let's pack it out!
Join us on April 3rd for a panel discussion with Michelle Kwan, five-time world figure skating champion, two-time Olympic medalist, and Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of State and 24 female athletes from every region of the world who are participants in a U.S. Department of State sports visitors exchange program!
Hear the stories of basketball players and coaches as they speak to women’s empowerment and sport systems in Argentina, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Nigeria, South Korea, and Turkey.
The discussion will also include remarks from the following esteemed guests:
- Mayor Madeline Rogero, City of Knoxville
- Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek, University of Tennessee
