Event Details

Transplant production plays a key role in a successful vegetable production system. Growing high quality plants requires skill, proper care, and knowledge of the fundamentals of plant growth and management. With adequate greenhouse sanitation measures, good quality seed and growing medium, optimum environmental conditions, and proper pest and disease monitoring program one can successfully grow strong and healthy transplants. Growing healthy, disease free, and quality transplants is the first step growers have to take to achieve higher yields and productivity.

This workshop, hosted by Drs. Ajay Nair and Patrick O’malley (Iowa State University Extension and Outreach), on 2 March, 2013 is in partnership with University of Illinois Extension. Location of the workshop is the Scott County Extension Office, 875 Tanglefoot Lane, Bettendorf, IA 52722. The workshop starts at 12:30 pm and ends at 5:30pm.
