Vegan Waffle Dessert Party & Optional Snuggle
Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 7:00 PM (PDT)
The directions are simple: Each guest brings a vegan dessert topping* to put on waffles, and be prepared to wind down your weekend with delicious dessert and great company! It can be something simple like fresh fruit, a complex homemade concoction, or something store-bought.
As one host is "mostly plant based" and the other slightly more omnivorous, you certainly don't have to consider yourself vegan to attend. But the food will all be vegan.
If needed, visit waffleparty.com for ideas, and skim the attendee list below to see what others are already bringing. If in doubt about anything, please don't be afraid to ask (412-422-0367 or dave (at) waffleparty (dot) com).
We'll have some non-alcoholic beverages and toppings to get things started, including several varieties of homemade dark chocolate sauce. Dave will bake fresh vegan yeast-raised waffles, as well as a limited number of gluten-free vegan waffles. However, because both types of waffles will be cooked on the same irons, we're not equipped to accommodate high-level wheat or gluten allergies.
This event is being held as part of the Global Vegan Waffle Party. As this year's theme is "Connection," we'll also have some space set aside for optional cuddling. (The event is alcohol- and substance-free to maintain safety and presence for that.) So wear something cozy if you wish to snuggle up after eating your dessert!
**Important Note Regarding Parking:**
SE 75th is a very narrow street. Please DO NOT park along it between Long and Raymond. Please park on the surrounding streets. If you have mobility issues, please feel free to use our driveway as a drop-off point and then park as detailed above. Thank you!
* Some vegans don't consume honey, so please label your topping if it contains that.
