The Ventura County Community Foundation invites you to the 2013 Community Leadership Series.  These sessions focus on issues critical to the quality of life in Ventura County.  Designed to foster discussion among community stakeholders, policy makers and thought leaders, these presentations offer fresh, unbiased data specific to Ventura County and are perfect for those who want to learn more about the challenges and opportunities that face this place we call home.

The nonprofit sector in Ventura County plays a critical role in the social fabric of community.  From emerging organizations to some of our county’s most distinguished institutions, nonprofits pump more than $1.5 billion into the communities where we live, work and play.  At this session, we welcome Regina Birdsell, CEO of the Center for Nonprofit Management in Los Angeles who will present the Ventura County findings of the 2013 Compensation and Benefits Study.  A panel of prominent sector leaders will discuss trends in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector.

Join this dialog focused on the findings and recommendations of the 2013 Status of Women & Girls in Ventura County Report commissioned by the Ventura County Women’s Commission and the VCCF Women’s Legacy Fund.  Full of data and statistics, the report serves as a scorecard for the general status and particular needs of women and girls in the county.  A panel of women leaders working in the areas of women’s philanthropy, economic empowerment and gender equity will reflect on the recommendations through the lens of next steps.
