9:30AM – 11AM 5K Run for Mercy (daughter of Kevin '99 and Camie (Grasser) '99 Doyle) and Celebration (Campus)
Come enjoy a fun run, walk, jog or skip to support the Doyle family! Currently living in Las Vegas, the Doyle family’s 6-year-old Mercy suffers from a rare neurological condition that doctors just can’t seem to diagnose. For four years, Mercy has suffered from viral infections in her brain, ataxia (loss of muscle coordination), tremors within her feet, and has lost the ability to walk and crawl. Mercy goes through times of improvement, but her condition is so unique that there is no one cure for this condition. This has brought on an immense emotional and financial burden on the Doyle family, which is why we want to help raise money so that Mercy can receive the medical attention she needs. The cost for the 5K is $10. Upon finishing your 5K, join us for a meet and greet with the Doyle family. Bring your kids and enjoy children's entertainer, Coach Kyle, play sand volleyball, Wii games, watch movies, enjoy photos, live music and even lunch in the Caf!
12PM – 1:30PM Homecoming Luncheon (NMC)
Come enjoy the Homecoming Alumni Luncheon, where we will honor our awardees of 2013:
Alumnus of the Year: Ron Bueno ‘90
Career Achievement Award: Bill '67 and Nancie (Pearson) '66 Carmichael
Distinguished Service Award: Dr. Isaac Canales ‘74
Young Alumnus of the Year: Jason Lankow ‘03
The luncheon will conclude with John Cheng’s famous cookies. Following the luncheon, President Dr. Carol Taylor will induct the class of 1963 into the Golden Vanguard Society and also recognize current members. The cost for the Alumni Luncheon is $20.
1PM – 2PM Basketball Camp (The Pit)
The Vanguard University Men’s Basketball program will host this free clinic. The clinic will take place in “The Pit”, the legendary gym on Vanguard’s campus. The Men’s Basketball coaching staff, as well as a handful of current Vanguard Lions, will coach and train boys and girls ages 6-15. RSVP HERE.
2PM – 3PM Soccer Camp (Field)
The Vanguard University Soccer program will host this free clinic. The clinic will take place on our soccer field. The Vanguard Soccer coaching staff, as well as a handful of current Vanguard Lions, will coach and train boys and girls age 6-15. RSVP HERE.
1:30PM – 3:30PM Bundle Reunions (Various Locations)
Grab some friends and join up with fellow classmates and celebrate your class reunion and spend time socializing with old friends and professors during Homecoming bundle reunions! Among other things, John Cheng's cookies will be served. Let us know you're coming, RSVP here. Locations for class years are as follows:

4:30PM - 5:30PM Delta Kappa Reunion (Tower's Lobby)
Delta Kappa continues to be Vanguard's most exclusive organization. Join with fellow Delta Kappa alumni in this time of celebration. Current leadership will be presenting a special gift for members.
5:30PM & 7:30PM Women & Men’s Basketball vs. Biola University (The Pit)
Cheer on our Vanguard Lions as we challenge our rivals, Biola University! Vanguard Concert Choir will be singing the National Anthem, and the Alumni Upperdeck will be open during halftime of both games. During halftime of the men’s basketball game, Vanguard University will recognize Bob Wilson as he was recently named the National Athletic Director of the Year for 2011-2012 by the NAIA Athletic Directors Association.
Cost is $6 for adults, $3 kids; CASH only. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
