Val designed “Body and Tool Mechanics for the Massage Practitioner”, to help you, the practitioner, to understand how body and tool mechanics are the beginning of a dynamic, effective and successful practice. This class is based on the principles of T’ai Chi Ch’uan. Val further expanded the principles of body mechanics, based on her personal experiences, over the last 30 years with Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Aikido, Yoga, Dance, Pilates, Sports, Surfing, Paddle Surfing, injuries and life experiences. Her Forearm Dance™ Seminars and DVD series are created from this foundation.
- No more sore hands! No more sore neck, shoulders and back!
- You will learn to work smarter not harder.
- Your work will be more effective; you will think it is almost too easy.
- You will have more energy at the end of a massage than when you began.
- You will be able to apply what you already know, blend what I teach you and put it into practice the very same day.
- You will have fun! And you will be more successful!
Val is recognized as a leader and innovator in the massage industry through the creation of her bestselling DVD series, Val Guin's Forearm Dance, Original and Essentials. She has been an instructor and a therapeutic body worker for almost three decades, focusing her private practice of 8 to 10 people a day on creating better posture and structural function, which creates more mobility and less pain within her students and clients. Along with holding seminars nationwide, she also holds her seminars locally at her studio in Santa Monica. Val is a frequent presenter at the AMTA conferences and is an approved provider for the NCBTMB for continuing education hours.
