"Choose To Be A Daniel"
The example of Daniel and his Hebrew friends while they lived in Babylon teaches us how to make good choices. This summer for Vacation Bible School, we will experience the stories of Daniel over a 70 year period of captivity in Babylon under 3 different Kings.
Bible stories will come to life as men and women act out the stories. Boys and girls will walk through the city of Babylon and experience creative Bible learning activities to reinforce the concepts they learn. We'll experience Daniel choosing to eat good food, interpreting the King's dreams, his friends surviving the fiery furnace, Daniel interpreting the handwriting on the wall, Daniel remaining faithful in his prayers to God, and finally surviving the den of lions! EVEN when challenged, Daniel always made the right choices.
We can choose to be just like Daniel. We'll learn how to make the right choices in our lives today in our "So What?" room. Real life application of Bible truths will help us understand how we can live like Daniel in 2013!
As an added feature this year, boys and girls will also learn the songs to a musical about the life of Daniel which will be presented on Sunday morning, July 21, at 10:15am.
Boys and girls will create memorable crafts, taste good foods like Daniel would have eaten, build and paint a replica of the Ishtar Gate, and play games related to the Bible stories. Literally all of a kid's senses will be involved in learning as they are able to see, smell, taste, touch, and hear about Daniel.
VBS is for all kids who have completed 5K through those who have completed 6th grade. We will begin Monday through Friday at 9:00am in the Fellowship Hall. We conclude each day at 12 noon.
Invite your neighbors to joino you as we learn how to make good choices for life!
