A framework is utilized to maximize efficiency and rapidly design a web site or an app. Inside of a framework you will find reusable code snippets, a grid, and responsive pattern libraries which include predefined sets of navigational patterns, typefaces, buttons, tabs, and more.
On March 5, 2014 at Eventbrite HQ, we are bringing together the creators of two of the most popular frameworks on the web – Bootstrap and Foundation.
Mark Otto, co-creator of Bootstrap (formerly known as Twitter Bootstrap) and Jonathan Smiley, co-creator of Zurb's Foundation, will cover:
At Twitter, Otto worked on numerous projects including the Promoted Products campaign tools and badges, Twitter.com during #NewNewTwitter, the Twitter Help Center, and several internal tools. He also created the popular open source front-end toolkit Bootstrap with @fat.
Jonathan developed Foundation, an open-source responsive front-end framework. He spends his days working on Foundation, ZURB's suite of design apps, and client projects large and small. A geek for life, when he's not working on the Web he's probably on his Xbox or showing his tiny daughter how to make trouble.
