UVM Extension Northwest Crops & Soils Field Day

This year's theme is "Strategic Farming - Gearing Up for Weather Extremes." The Field Day will give you an opportunity to tour Borderview Research Farm, where over 40 crop and soil experiments are being conducted, as well as getting up-to-date research results. Take a look at the many experiments being conducted at the farm on corn varieties, cover crops, flax, oilseeds, reduced tillage, manure injection and much more!
Highlights this year include -
Reduced Tillage projects, Irrigation Systems, Small-Scale Grain Production, Cover Crop Inner Seeder, Aerial Cover Crop Seeding, and the UVM Ag Resiliency team sharing information on the impact of climate change on Vermont farms.
Registration starts at 9:15 a.m. Event and Farm Tour start promptly at 10:00 a.m.
The program is free of charge for farmers. All others, $20 per person. (CCA credits available).

Directions: From Route 2 in Alburgh, turn onto Route 225 (Border Road). Drive toward the Canadian Border. As you approach the border, turn Left just BEFORE the Customs building. At Stop sign, across the main road is a dirt road (Line Road) that goes West along the border. Borderview Farm is the first farm on the Left. Look for Field Day signs from Route 2.
