Using Data to Revise Your Long-Term Plan (Social Studies)
Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM (CDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
The effective use of data is one of the most powerful tools for improving instruction and preparing your students for end-of-year assessments. However, many teachers implement formative/interim/periodic/benchmark assessments in ways that are not effective. In this session, CMs will learn how to use pre-test data to make revisions to their LTPs. This session will specifically focus on drafting enduring understandings and essential questions. CMs will also be provided resources for setting up their classrooms and a checklist for starting the year strong.
