USC Alumni, Students, and Friends come join us on March 27th for a great night of real estate discussions and networking!

There will be a short panel providing the opportunity to hear from real estate investment professionals who have established themselves in the field and are on unique career paths. Following the panel, there will be plenty of time to network and connect with fellow Trojan real estate professionals.

All Trojans and friends of Trojans are welcome! The event is hosted by the New York chapter of the USC Marshall Alumni Association.

Appetizers and drinks will be provided. $1 of each ticket goes to the Marshall Scholarship Fund.

Panelist Bios:

Fred LeCao is a Principal at Greenbrook Partners. Mr. LeCao is involved in all aspects of Greenbrook's investment activities with a primary focus on asset management and financing. Prior to joining Greenbrook Partners, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Capital Markets and Portfolio Management at UC Funds, a private commercial real estate lender with $1.5 billion AUM. In this position, he led global capital raising and joint venture initiatives with institutional investors. Prior to UC Funds, Mr. LeCao was Vice President at Greenwood Energy, an investment subsidiary of Libra Group, a multi-billion dollar family office with extensive real estate holdings. Previously, Mr. LeCao was Vice President at BlackRock where he was responsible for underwriting commercial real estate debt investments across property types and markets. Mr. LeCao earned a B.S. in Business from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a recipient of the Robert Toigo Fellowship.

Akbar Tajani is a Director with Pine River Capital Management where he is responsible for investment, asset management and capital market activities for the commercial real estate business. Prior to joining Pine River, Mr. Tajani was a Director with Cantor Fitzgerald where he helped establish a real estate investment business focused on bridge lending and opportunistic equity strategies. Previously, he was with Abraaj Capital based out of Dubai, where he led acquisitions and financings of property and entity-level investments in emerging markets including the Middle East (including Turkey), North Africa and Asia. Akbar started his career with BlackRock’s Global Real Estate group where he was a member of the acquisitions, capital markets and portfolio management teams investing in private equity and debt strategies. Akbar has a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Real Estate from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Southern California.

Brian Riggle is a Vice President of Investment Management at Madison Capital where he focuses on creating value across the firm's core, value add and opportunistic investments. Brian previously worked on the liquidation of New York REIT, a former NYSE-listed REIT, and at Clarion Partners where he held positions in Acquisitions and Asset Management. Brian received his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and completed his undergraduate education at San Diego State University.
