It has contributed to the graduation of over 2,000 minority physicians since its inception in 1969.
The mission of the University of Illinois at Chicago Urban Health Program (UHP) is to recruit, retain, and graduate underrepresented racial/ethnic minority students, specifically African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, and Native Americans, into the health professions [...] with the goals of eliminating health disparities and advancing health equity.
