Cary Institute's Steward Pickett will discuss how urban ecology can make our cities greener, cleaner, and healthier for all.
Drawing on his work directing the Baltimore Ecosystem Study, he will provide insight into challenges facing today's cities, urban ecology success stories, and what individuals can do to help.
Topics to be covered include urban/green design, community engagement, and the need for an urban land ethic.
