Building Spaces That Work For Everyone
The theory of universal design posits that the built environment—and all the products within it—should be equally usable to all, regardless of age, life status, or physical abilities. This workshop will address how you can apply universal design in the context of your own home.
A common aspect of universal design is focused on aging in place. CG&S frequently has clients who request wider door openings, walk-in showers, and at least one no-step entrance, in case they need a wheelchair or walker later on in life.
Other clients require adjustable shelving and closet rods for growing children, height adjustable hand-held showers, flexible storage options, and work-counters of varying heights. Sign up for our workshop today to discover how to optimize your home for everyone in your family—and social circle—for the long run.
