Event Details

The United Nations Association Pasadena Chapter cordially invites you to attend our third annual UN Film Festival on Oct. 23rd-24th in honor of UN Day!

This film festival highlights documentaries about issues that face the entire world, and the role we play as a part of that world! Topics include the status of women and girls, HIV/AIDS, polio, disability, and the role of youth in international decision-making. See below for film synopses and schedule.

The festival will be held for two nights at Laemmle's Playhouse 7 in Pasadena, on Wednesday October 23rd and Thursday October 24th. Tickets are $10 per night, or $15 for both nights. Students and members of UNA Pasadena get discounted tickets at only $5 per night!

Films will begin at 6:15 on Wednesday and at 5:30 on Thursday, and will run no later than 10:30 pm. Panels with featured filmmakers will be included during the festival, so that you can ask questions directly of those making these amazing films!

A reception will be held on Wednesday October 23rd at El Portal Restaurant, across the street from the theater at 695 East Green Street, from 5:00-6:00. Filmmakers and local leaders will be in attendance. Cost of admittance to the reception will be $10, to be paid at the door.

Please RSVP to our event on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/221276271364673/, and contact us at rsvp@unapasadena.org if you have any questions or comments. We look forward to seeing you there!
