Understanding the BP Claim Process: Do you Qualify?
Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM (CDT)
Baton Rouge, LA
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Many business owners have a lot of questions about how their organization might qualify to file a BP Claim related to the Deepwater Horizon incident of April 20, 2010. Almost every business and individual in Louisiana is eligible under the BP settlement, but not everyone will qualify as the recently approved settlement is based on certain accounting formulas, not just on economic gain or loss. To truly understand the BP Settlement, the Louisiana Business & Technology Center and the management consulting firm of Simmons and White are sponsoring a FREE presentation on the BP Claims process and how to determine whether or not your organization may qualify.
The seminar will be presented by Keith Naccari, an independent accountant and BP claims specialist. Keith will educate the audience on the BP claims process, provide details on the settlement, how and if your organization qualifies, what zone you might be in (determines multipliers) and much more. All organizations should attend including non-profits, restaurants, education, healthcare, tourism, construction and virtually every business. And even if you think your business did well and you don’t think you qualify or don’t feel justified in filing a claim, many organizations are doing so and giving the funds to their favorite church or charity. It’s a great way to keep the money in the region and why should it go somewhere else?
Lunch will be served at 11:30 and the presentation will begin at noon:
- Presentation on BP Claims Process (approx. 20 min)
- Q & A (approx. 40 min)
Registration and lunch are FREE, but seating is limited, so please register today.
