Event Details

Freshwater ecologist Dave Strayer will lead an interpretive walk through a floodplain on the Cary Institute's campus. Learn about the ecology of floodplains, including the plants and animals that call them home.

Meet at the main campus parking area, located at 2801 Sharon Turnpike (Rte. 44) in Millbrook, NY. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring drinking water.

In the event of severe weather, the program will be cancelled.

 A not-for-profit environmental research and education organization. Focal areas include air and water pollution, climate change, invasive species, and the ecological dimensions of infectious disease.

Parts of the 2,000 acre research campus have been reserved for public education and enjoyment including hiking trails and internal roadways.
