Join us for this month's installment of our General Body Meeting. The focus for this month is Domestic Violence Awareness. To aid in raising awareness, we have included two dynamic guest speakers from NOPD. Kim Lewis-Williams, who's currently the highest ranking female officer on the New Orleans Police Department and first woman to command the Criminal Investigation Division in the NOPD (includes all major investigations/crimes against person such as Homicide, Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, Sex Crimes, White Collar Crimes and more). She is currently assigned as Commander of Recruitment, Education, and Training. Additionally, we will have Lt. Melvin Gilbert who is a 30 year veteran with New Orleans Police Department. He has spent over 17 years working with children and families as both an investigator and supervisor in both the Juvenile Division and Child Abuse Unit. Lt. Gilbert is currently assigned as the Commander of the Special Victims Section in the Investigation & Support Bureau.
