"A Time to Plant – Spring Vegetable Gardening”

Come join us for the next Evening Gardener session to be held Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on how to get your spring vegetable garden started.

Susan Kelly, Director of UF/IFAS Sumter County Extension, will be our speaker.  We will talk about soil and bed preparation, spring vegetables for central Florida, garden pests, etc.  March 17th is the time in central Florida to start planting that spring garden so come get prepared and bring your veggie garden questions with you.  If you just want a couple of pots of tomatoes or have a larger garden bed to plant, this will help you be more successful.

The public is invited to attend this event free of charge. The Evening Gardener is a continuing series held the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Sumter County Fairgrounds, 7620 SR471, Bushnell, Florida.

If you wish to register off line, please call 352-793-2728, Ext. 229 and leave a message or email plantclinic@aol.com and we'll be glad to help you.
