Join us for this 1st event in a series of hikes in recreational areas in Sumter County sponsored by UF/IFAS Sumter County Master Gardeners and led by UF/IFAS Extension Agent, Jim Davis. You'll be learning about Florida's natural resources including native plants, invasive plants, insects, wildlife, etc. as well as enjoying the great weather and scenery.

Meet us at the boat ramp no later than 8:45 a.m. for check in; the hike will begin at 9:00 a.m. and should end around noon. Hikers should wear comfortable/appropriate clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent. You may also want to bring your binoculars and cameras. Please bring a sack lunch and your cooler as we will conclude the hike with lunch and a question and answer session.
