The theme for this, the fourth annual meeting of TYCA-GA is “Buzzwords that Work.” All of us have heard them: engagement, active learning, flipped classroom, sustainability, project-based learning, service learning, community-based learning, hybrids, retention and transfer, faculty advising--and at least ten others that we could name. Is there a particular buzzword that you have implemented successfully? If so, please consider presenting your findings and sharing information at TYCA-GA.
The committee is interested in reading proposals for individual and panel presentations that concern themselves with new and engaging classroom practices. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to
The conference fee is $10 and will cover registration, the TYCA-GA annual membership fee, and a light brunch.
All faculty who teach freshman and sophomore classes (regardless of discipline or two or four-year college designation) are invited to attend and to submit proposals.
